After cleaning my car I found the memory seat buttons did not work although the controls on the seat did fine. Like a good boy I checked the manual first total waste of time! Then I searched some other forums and found others with the same issue and how to fix.
The following steps solved the problem for me. (See this thread.) 1. move your seat forward much as you can. 2. move your seat higher much as you can. 3. incline your seat much as you can. 4. hold the set button and press 1. 5. move driver side seat to the desired seat position. 6. hold the set button and press 1. M.
You might also want to try to move the seat all the way forward, and then all the way backward. Last edited by fxchou123; 01-31-2021 at 09:38 PM. A seat module reset is needed if 72K6 software update is applied. Otherwise, seat memory function won't work.
The passenger seat doesn't have power anything. The memory seats on the drivers side doesn't work. Both heated seats don't work at all, neither do the lights on the door panels. How do you remove the drivers door panel. I searched for that on the forums but couldn't find any instructions.
The seat will not recall when entering the vehicle. The seat only moves when pressing and holding the Memory 1, Memory 2, or Exit buttons down. The seat stops moving when releasing the Memory 1, Memory 2, or Exit buttons. Sometimes the seat moves completely to the stored position by pressing and releasing the Memory 1, Memory 2, or Exit buttons.
It turned out to be that in the engineering menu (green menu), the seat memory function was somehow unchecked and moved to menu #1 instead of #5. Changed it back 5 and checked it off again in the car device list, and it back in working shape. Lesson learned: Be careful when trying to modify the green menu to make other options work.
BYg0v. 2007. Georgia (GA) Author. Posted November 28, 2011. I mentioned this problem when the car was serviced (and the issue wasn't always the same. The seats would move, the mirrors not. Or nothing would work). The service guy asked if the battery had been changed. It had, tho I think the seat settings had been reset.

The (OBD) connector is located, under the driver’s side of the dashboard, on the steering column. Next, remove the old battery, making sure that the positive battery wire is not, touching the car’s body. Then, install the new battery and attach the connectors. Finally, unplug the memory saver from the car. It’s that easy.
Tech news for the 2017 A3 is the inclusion of Audi’s impressive Virtual Cockpit in the Technik trim level - available on all but the entry-level front drive model. This 12.3-inch digital TFT display replaces the traditional central gauge cluster and offers several configurations – the most impressive being the crystal-clear navigation

The corrective actions for this recall are under development. To reduce the safety risk, Audi recommends that if the PODS in your vehicle is not working properly, you should contact an Audi dealer for assistance right away and not transport a person in the front-passenger seat until the PODS has been repaired.
